[ etoday ] Strengthening Korea–Japan E-Commerce Supply Chains: PingPong, SAYGO, and SC Holdings Launch Tripartite Partnership

Global commerce financial services provider PingPong, Japanese logistics company SAYGO, and Japan-based fulfillment operator SC Holdings announced that they signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MOU) on December 4 last year in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to enhance and streamline Korea–Japan e-commerce supply chains.

Under the agreement, PingPong will support newly entering sellers in the Japanese market by offering a specially designed fee program aimed at reducing initial market entry costs. SAYGO will provide more competitive shipping rates to Japan compared with existing options, contributing to meaningful logistics cost savings for sellers.

SC Holdings will apply SLA- and KPI-based service standards across the entire fulfillment process—including order management systems (OMS), inventory control, picking and packing, outbound shipping, customs clearance, and customer service—to ensure a consistently high level of delivery quality.

The three companies also agreed to jointly develop a “Japan-bound One-Stop 3PL Solution” that integrates export declarations, customs documentation, and local logistics management—procedures that often complicate entry into the Japanese market—and to offer this solution as a unified service to external companies. Through this initiative, businesses with no prior experience in the Japanese market will be able to begin sales activities immediately without the need to hire additional personnel.

Industry observers expect the partnership to help alleviate logistics bottlenecks between Korea and Japan while strengthening the global competitiveness of Korean sellers.
